A note regarding sparring:
Sparring is an important aspect of our program but certainly not the focus. Our sparring exercises require protective gear and in the begining is limited to lite to no contact. However, our rule is that no student participates in sparring until he or she is ready and willing. The intensity of sparring contact will only increase as the students training and ability progresses. For example most Red and Black Belt students will spar full, yet controlled, contact.

Sparring is not fighting. All Martial Arts sparring and sport fighting such as MMA have rules and regulations. Here at Centerline when we talk about fighting we are talking about defending ourselves or others against violent crime.
